In January, some of our budding Year 9 mathematicians attended the Maths Eureka Day, run by the Cambridge Maths School. It was an exciting and inspiring day that focused on stretching our thinking and problem-solving skills. We took part in a range of talks and activities that showed us how creative and interesting maths can be. The sessions helped us see maths in a different way compared to normal lessons.
The day included activities led by NRICH, ASMP and Cambridge Maths School, and they were both challenging and fun. The event is aimed at Year 9 students who enjoy maths and want to push themselves further. Everyone worked really hard, supported each other, and didn’t give up even when problems were tricky. We all came back feeling proud, more confident, and motivated to keep challenging ourselves in maths.
