Serving 16–19-year-olds from the local community and beyond, we offer a wide range of high-quality A Level and applied vocational courses. We are keen to recruit ambitious students who will contribute to our friendly, dynamic, and aspirational learning community where every individual is valued and respected, student experience and feedback guide all that we do, and strong staff-student relationships are at the heart of success. Our broad and engaging curriculum gives students the freedom and flexibility to build an individualised study programme that maximises their sixth form experience. We rarely admit students in-year, but if you are moving to the area or looking to change providers, please contact us.
The applications deadline for Cambridge Area Partnership applicants has now passed; you will receive notification if your application is being progressed by the end of January 2026. If you have missed the deadline or are applying from outside of CAP (such as applicants from St. Neots, from independent schools or overseas), please do contact us on info@cambournesixthform.org so we can discuss your application. The next stages in the admissions process are as follows:
- 14th January 2026: main applications deadline
- February and March 2026: admissions guidance meetings, in person or online
- April 2026: offers made to successful applicants

If you are currently in Year 10 and considering applying to CamSF for September 2027 entry, welcome! Our Prospectus will be available from the beginning of June 2026. We are holding two Taster Days, one for Cambourne students on 22nd June, and one for students at all other schools on 23rd June. Students and their families are very welcome to attend our Sixth Form Open Evening, from 6 – 8pm on Thursday 2nd July. Should you have any questions in the meantime, please contact info@cambournesixthform.org.
Entry requirements
A Levels and Applied qualifications represent a significant level of challenge. It is hugely important to us that all students are given the right guidance to choose a pathway that will challenge them and allow them to be successful. We will give a guidance meeting to all applicants placing us first or second in their order of preference.
To study A Levels, we require a minimum of five Grade 5s at GCSE, with Grade 4 or higher in English and Maths.
Many subjects also have an additional entry requirement, such as a Grade 6 or higher in a related GCSE subject.
Applied courses require a minimum of five Grade 4s at GCSE, including English and Maths.
A minimum of five Grade 7s at GCSE.
Making an application
CamSF is a member of the Cambridge Area Partnership (CAP). Students who attend CAP schools should use MyChoice16 to make an application online (mychoice16.co.uk), using the log in details you school has provided to you. Students currently attending a CAP school will have the Post-16 application process introduced to them by their teachers and will be helped at each stage.
Students not currently attending a CAP school, for example those to the West of Cambourne or internationally, should also use the online application system at mychoice16.co.uk, creating an ‘out of area’ application. Please ensure your school completes your reference, or we will be unable to proceed with your application.
If you have any questions about how to apply please contact info@cambournevc.org
If you’ve missed the application deadline as laid out below, but are interested in attending Cambourne Sixth Form please do get in touch with us on the above address and we will do our best to accommodate your application.
